To IDENTIFY the navigation
and positioning requirements of land, maritime and aviation users in CEI
countries, specified and defined according to the international standards,
taking into account the regional, national and local conditions. The requirements
of other users, such as GIS field data collectors, emergency and surveillance
services, data acquisitions, data acquisitions for environmental protection
inspectors will be also studied and specified.
To COMPILE a set of guidelines,
procedures, algorithms that can be implemented within real-time navigation
and positioning community. Special sudy should be undertaken on monitoring
and analysis systems of availability, accuracy, integrity and continuity
of the satellite naviogation systems.
To INVESTIGATE a reference
stations infrastructure in CEI countries to take full advantage of GPS
and GLONASS constellations. Callibrate and validate the satellite systems
by carrying out some experiments at specific navigational environments
such as: marine, land and aviation environments to assess the risks of
their use and integrity. Study and development of methodology to take into
account the physical sources of errors in in satellite positioning and
navigation including ionospheric, tropospheric and multipath effects.
To DEFINE areas of further
research and development to integrate national and Local Augmentation Systems
(LAAS) with the European Satellite Navigation Systems, just being developed
by EU countries.
